Belly's Hot Sauce; Where a simple idea turned into a business

During the early spring of the 2020 pandemic, lots of people grew their own gardens. Phil, Founder of Belly's Hot Sauce or "Farmer Phil," as he is better known was one of these people. As he attempted to grow a garden full of vegetables, he shared his journey online with friends & family. Farmer Phil soon discovered however, that he was a terrible farmer. He lost most of his crops! The only plants that survived were his Habanero Peppers. Not only did the Habaneros survive, they thrived. Phil was soon faced with the reality that he had an abundant amount of habaneros and no clue what to do with them.  Through discovery (and a lot of trail & error) Farmer Phil created his first hot sauce, now know as "Mango Habanero."
With no experience in the culinary industry but a love for spending time in the kitchen, Phil decided to pass around some samples and received amazing feedback. Making 25 bottles to sell, he decided to make an attempt to post on social media, hoping to sell a few bottles. This led to 145 orders and interest from small boutiques to large chain brands. Phil knew he had something he could grow bigger so that same week he incorporated the business, acquired a commercial kitchen and launched the business.
With no idea where this was going to take him he decided to start selling at farmer's markets, reaching out to more retailers and restaurants. The company grew quickly, now in 40+ locations across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, they get to spread their mission, to keep providing customers flavourful hot sauce with fresh ingredients that will compliment the food they eat and not overpower it.
"We get amazing feedback on how flavourful our hot sauce is. We want to keep raising the bar on the quality of our product and we hope you get to taste the difference."
